KICKSTARTER FOR MY NEW ALBUM PRODUCED BY ANDERS OSBORNE!

FRIENDS! MY NEW ALBUM “NIGHT SKIN” IS COMING OUT THIS FALL. IT WAS PRODUCED BY ANDERS OSBORNE AND I'M SO SO PROUD OF IT! AS AN INDEPENDENT ARTIST, I DON'T HAVE ANY EXTRA FUNDS BACKING ME, AND PROMOTION CAN GET EXPENSIVE. I'M ASKING FOR A LITTLE HELP FROM YOU TO RAISE FUNDS FOR PR, A RADIO CAMPAIGN, AND PRESSING THE ALBUM. THERE'S SOME REALLY COOL REWARDS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DECIDE TO CONTRIBUTE.

NOTE: KICKSTARTER IS ALL OR NOTHING! IF I DON'T RAISE 15K, I DON'T GET TO KEEP ANY OF IT. YOU CAN CHECK OUT THE REWARDS AND BACK THIS PROJECT BETWEEN MAY 7 AND JUNE 7 RIGHT HERE:

ABOUT THE PROJECT…

In July of 2021, I got the coolest opportunity of my career to record a full length album with my biggest musical influence, Anders Osborne. I flew to New Orleans, he picked me up at the airport, and we drove to Dockside Studio in Maurice, LA. Casandra Faulconer (bass), Mike Dillon (drums/percussion), and Justin Tocket (engineer) joined us for three days of music creation, delicious food, and a couple laps in the guitar pool.

How did this all happen? I’m still wrapping my head around it. In 2020, I made the decision that I wanted to take a step forward in my career. A big part of that for me was enlisting the help of a producer whose work I admire. I made a list of about 20 producers that I’d like to work with, and Anders Osborne was on the top of the list. While I didn’t initially think that this would happen, several of my friends encouraged me to think big rather than realistic. So, I emailed his manager at the time and asked if there was any chance Anders would be interested in producing a couple tracks for me. Before I knew it, I was on zoom calls with him going over songs and editing lyrics.

The album, now known as “Night Skin,” was finished at the end of 2021. I hoped to release it in 2022 with the help of an indie label. After a few meetings and lots of unread emails, I had and a couple of promising “maybe’s” that eventually turned into “no’s.” That whole process took well over a year, and suddenly my release timeline was well past due. I spent 2023 in limbo, wondering what the next step would be.

Fast forward to the beginning of this year, and I’ve decided I’m putting this record out completely independently. I’ll quit rambling and get to the point… I’m trying to give “Night Skin” the best release I possibly can. This means a radio campaign, hiring a PR company, creating content, putting money towards SEO/ad spend/marketing, and pressing/distributing vinyl and CD’s.

Listen, I’m not asking you to “go on a journey with me” or whatever other creators say because someone told them that’s what they’re supposed to say. I’m just askin’ for some of your money. And if you wanna get a milkshake sometime, I’m open to that too.
